Description
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a junior Employment lawyer to join a highly regarded, internationally recognised law firm in London, known for its deep roots in the technology and life sciences sectors. The firm advises some of the most innovative and high-growth businesses globally, from emerging start-ups to market-leading multinationals, as well as the investors behind them.
The London team operates at the forefront of the European tech ecosystem, delivering commercially focused, cross-border advice to clients navigating rapid growth, international expansion, and complex corporate transactions. This is a rare chance to work closely with a small, high-calibre team, offering direct client exposure and meaningful responsibility from an early stage.
You will advise on a broad range of employment matters, with a strong emphasis on advisory work across the employment lifecycle, while also supporting high-value corporate transactions involving cutting-edge tech clients.
The role will include:
- Advising on day-to-day employment matters across the full employee lifecycle, from hiring through to termination;
- Drafting and negotiating employment, consultancy, and settlement agreements;
- Supporting on corporate transactions, including M&A, financings, and IPOs, with a strong cross-border element;
- Advising on workforce structuring, including employee, worker, and contractor classification;
- Guiding clients through disciplinary, grievance, and performance processes;
- Providing strategic input on redundancies and exits;
- Collaborating with international colleagues and external counsel on multi-jurisdictional matters; and
- Contributing to business development initiatives and the growth of the practice.
This role will suit a 1-3 PQE Employment lawyer seeking exposure to premium tech sector clients within a collaborative, fast-paced, and internationally integrated environment.
