I am currently working with a respected law firm seeking an Interim Employment Solicitor to support the team during a period of increased demand and capacity pressure. This role is ideal for an experienced employment solicitor who can manage files independently and integrate quickly into a private practice environment.

Job Title: Locum Employment Solicitor

Location: Birmingham - 2 days in office and 3 days working from home

Day rate: £350 - £500 per day (dependent on experience)

Key responsibilities of an Locum Employment Solicitor:

• Handling Employment Tribunal claims on behalf of Respondents, including drafting documentation, preparing for hearings, and providing advocacy where appropriate
• Providing advice on employment status, contractual arrangements, and TUPE transfers
• Supporting clients with employee relations matters, such as disciplinary processes, grievances, whistleblowing concerns, and discrimination issues
• Advising on workforce reorganisations, redundancy processes, and negotiating settlement agreements
• Developing strong, collaborative relationships with clients who are creating meaningful impact
• Drafting and advising on employment contracts, HR policies, and internal procedures

Essential Skills & Experience:

• In-depth expertise in both contentious and non-contentious aspects of employment law
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities
