Are you a skilled Employment Lawyer seeking a new challenge in a dynamic and supportive legal team?

We are looking for a Senior Employment Lawyer to join our public sector legal services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a diverse and stimulating caseload, providing expert legal advice and advocacy across a range of employment law matters.

About the Role

You will manage a broad spectrum of employment litigation and advisory work, supporting a variety of clients including schools and internal HR teams. Your responsibilities will include:

• Advising on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters within a public sector setting.
• Supporting HR teams on internal processes such as disciplinary actions, grievances, sickness absence, and TUPE.
• Conducting advocacy in Employment Tribunal hearings, including preliminary hearings.
• Delivering training to HR officers on employment law topics.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a committed legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work independently and collaboratively. You should have:

• A current practising certificate and be entitled to practise in England as a Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.
• Post-qualification experience in employment law.
• Proven experience in handling tribunal matters and conducting your own advocacy.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide clear, concise legal advice.
• Experience working with HR teams and public sector clients.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage a varied workload.
