Job Description/Role Overview:
Remote - Occasional meetings in Watford
The Global Category Manager (GCM), Employee Services, is responsible for the spend, strategic plan and leadership of all key initiatives within the Employee Services Category. The scope of the GCM Employee Services role includes responsibility for all associated expenditure within the parameters of the role. Specifically, but not exhaustively, the GCM Employee Services has responsibility for all stakeholder and supplier engagement activities associated with Employee Services. . The GCM Employee Services establishes and proactively manages key stakeholder relationships, leads proactive sourcing projects, influences specification definition & demand management, as well as managing Category specific supplier performance and innovation activities. The GCM Employee Services reports directly to the HR & Travel GCD
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing Procurement Category input into the Global Category Lead in order to inform the functional objective setting process
- Accountable for the delivery of Employee Services Category targets following engagement in the target setting process.
- Responsible for the collection of supplier, supply market, category and internal business data and information for the Employee Services Category
- Responsible for developing the Global Category Strategy for Employee Services, including relevant stakeholder approval.
- Accountable for identifying key supplier risks within the Employee Services Category and agreeing mitigating activities with the relevant business stakeholders.
- Responsible for the development and execution of projects based on the Employee Services Category strategy and business planning activities to feed into the Annual Procurement Category Plan
- Responsible for leading proactive sourcing for the Employee Services Category
- Accountable for the implementation of consistent KPIs for the Employee Services Category
- Responsible for the creation, application, completion, and review of major contracts for the Employee Services Category
- Accountable for ensuring that all activities delivered by Regional Implementation team members / GBS Procurement team members within the Employee Services are in line with the overall Category strategy.
- Responsible for monitoring compliance and adherence.
- Responsible for ensuring internal issues within the Employee Services Category are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
- Responsible for engaging with and managing the performance of all relevant GBS Procurement resources supporting Category / Regional Procurement activities within the Employee Services Category
Education / Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required at a minimum, in fields such as business administration, finance, law or a scientific or technical field. Strong preference for CIPS or similar professional qualification.
