Are you a newly qualified solicitor with a passion for employment law? We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a highly regarded public sector organisation, looking for an Employment NQ to join their team in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a hybrid role that offers flexibility and career development.
The successful Employment NQ:
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage a caseload of employment cases, advising trade union representatives on disciplinary and grievance issues.
· Negotiate with employers to achieve desired outcomes through workplace resolutions or settlement agreements.
· Handle contentious matters, including early conciliation and Employment Tribunal claims, from start to finish.
· Draft grievances, appeals, statements of case, and prepare for hearings or mediations.
· Provide expert legal advice to members via telephone, email, or meetings.
About You:
· Qualified Solicitor status.
· Strong knowledge and understanding of employment law.
· Experience managing claimant cases effectively (trade union experience is ideal but not essential).
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
· Proficiency in IT and case management systems.
· Analytical and problem-solving skills
