Description
Employment Law Solicitor, Dorset This is a mid-senior employment solicitor role with partnership potential, mainly focused on employer advisory work and tribunal matters, within a regional firm. The firm would be pleased to hear from local and relocation candidates. The firm would like you o be in the office 4 days a week with one day working from home.Core hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Main Responsibilities Handling a wide range of employment law matters, including:- Drafting employment contracts, policies, and staff handbooks
- Handling employment disputes such as:
- unfair dismissal
- discrimination claims
- Advising employers on HR issues, including:
- disciplinary procedures
- grievances
- redundancies
- Advising on employment aspects of corporate transactions
- HR/employee due diligence
- TUPE issues in business transfers
- Running employment law training sessions for clients
- Managing your own caseload
- Potentially supervising junior lawyers and support staff
- Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years PQE in employment law
- Experience with employment tribunals
- Strong contract drafting skills
- Ability to manage a caseload independently
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Strong organisation and time management
- Experience meeting billing/fee targets
- Proficiency with: Microsoft Office Case management systems Digital dictation
- Experience mentoring or supervising junior staff
- Professional integrity
- Reliable and proactive attitude
- Own car/transport
- Salary: Market rate (depends on experience)
