Overview
Trigon Recruitment is working with a respected national training provider to recruit a proactive and dedicatedEmployment Advisor. In this key role, you will support unemployed individuals referred by Jobcentre Plus, helping them move into sustainable employment across a wide range of sectors - includingrecruitment,retail, customer service, warehousing, hospitality, and more.
You'll help customers build confidence, overcome barriers, strengthen employability skills, and secure meaningful roles. Many will be exploring opportunities inretailfor the first time, others may be aiming for longer-term careers inrecruitment, and some will be transitioning between sectors entirely. You'll be the person who helps them take those steps with clarity and momentum.
Key Responsibilities
- Work towards monthly job start targets and sustainable employment outcomes
- Manage and prioritise a busy caseload, offering tailored 1:1 and group support
- Conduct detailed assessments to identify employment barriers
- Develop structured action plans aligned with job goals
- Coach and motivate customers to build practical employability skills
- Support customers to apply for vacancies, including opportunities inretailandrecruitment
- Prepare customers for interviews across multiple sectors
- Produce and refine high-quality CVs, cover letters, and speculative applications
- Complete benefit calculations when required
- Signpost customers to partner organisations for additional support
- Build relationships with employers inrecruitment,retail, logistics, hospitality, and other industries to secure suitable vacancies
- Maintain accurate, timely records and update the internal database consistently

- Empathetic, motivational, and supportive in your approach
- Confident liaising with employers in sectors such asretail,recruitment, customer service, and hospitality
- Able to inspire customers to progress, stay motivated, and achieve employment goals
