Join our client as a Student Engagement Officer, building employer partnerships and helping learners progress into real jobs and apprenticeships.Employer Engagement Coordinator
Location: Greenwich
Hours: 27.5 hours per week (10am till 15:30pm)
Contract: Temporary until July 2026
Salary: £18.57

About the role
As a Student Engagement Officer, you will build and maintain strong relationships with employers to create clear progression pathways into work and apprenticeships. You’ll focus on securing employer involvement for Construction Bootcamps and Sector-Based Academy Programmes, giving learners access to vacancies, insights, guaranteed interviews, and employment routes.
Key responsibilities
* Identify, contact, and engage employers across construction, education, and related sectors
* Secure employers with live vacancies willing to:
* Deliver employer talks
* Provide workplace insights
* Share organisational values and career pathways
* Offer guaranteed interviews
* Develop strong employer partnerships to support Construction Bootcamps
* Engage schools and education providers to source apprenticeship and employment routes
* Hold group and 1-to-1 sessions covering applications, CVs, interviews, and job‑search guidance
* Arrange and attend employer meetings, networking events, and site visits
* Act as the main point of contact for employers, curriculum teams, and learners
* Maintain accurate records of vacancies, interviews, employer activity, and learner outcomes
* Work closely with internal teams to align training provision with employer needs
* Support continuous improvement through new employer‑led opportunities
* Ensure all activity aligns with safeguarding, equality, and organisational policies
Requirements
* Experience in employer engagement or recruitment
* Confident communicator able to build strong professional relationships
* Knowledge of construction, education, or employment support programmes is beneficial
* Strong organisational and administrative skills
* Ability to work flexibly within a team
* A current and valid ENHANCED DBS
